Bedecked Beads was launched in July 2009 with a brand new online jewellery shop. The jewellery shop stocks a variety of handmade jewellery. We stock necklaces, bracelets, earrings, jewellery sets, ladies watches, unusual brooches, cufflinks, beaded bookmarks and a recent new line of compact / pocket mirrors. All the jewellery on our website is handcrafted by Valerie Anderson, made at home in Scotland. Our unique designs include something for everyone, gemstone, polymer clay, wirework and beaded jewellery. We love to experiment with different styles such as unusual contemporary, on trend fashion designs to classic one of a kind designs featuring pearls and crystal. You can be assured of the quality of the materials used to create our jewellery as we hand pick all materials used.
Making Beads
Some beads used in our designs are handmade using polymer clay (Fimo). Polymer clay is blended and made into canes, textured with surface effects or swirled into stunning lentil beads. The beads are baked in the oven, cooled, sanded with three grits of sandpaper and either polished, varnished or waxed to give a smooth finish.

Caring for your jewellery
Care for silver plated jewellery as you would your silver jewellery. Protect it from perfumes, hairsprays and other cosmetics as these can erode the plating. Store pieces ofjewellery separately to prevent tangling and damage, ideally storing in separate grip seal bags to protect from tarnishing.Gently buff jewellery with a soft cotton cloth to clean
Store gemstone jewellery out of direct sunlight. Semi precious gemstones are natural materials which can fade when exposed to direct light.
Unlike sterling silver or gold, plated jewellery will eventually wear. Proper cleaning, maintenance, and storage are critical for extending its life usage.
